I can only speak from a female’s perspective on the rumbles of rage. The Hindu Goddess Kali (featured in the set image) in this blog, represents fierce rage; the dark side of the ego. However she also represents the Divine Mother, the dynamic power of change, and liberation through ”dying”of the egoic self.
Rage can erupt like a volcano when you feel someone is wronging you or disrespecting your humanity. Abusive behaviour happens due to the person being unaware of divine consciousness. He/she is living an ego based life which is all about the ” I’,’and hasn’t yet awakened to the ”deeper I” or consciousness.
Consequently, a certain amount of compassion is required by the conscious one toward the unconscious one because they are still a human being with the potential to awaken one day. Normally this proves very difficult for most people who feel an aggressive reaction coming on quickly before they can respond more thoughtfully and benevolently.
For women who’ve been abused by such a person or persons, the rumbles of rage create what feel like debilitating feelings of intense anger inside the body that are so traumatic, that to respond at all in any way except with fear may seem impossible.
Do the rumbles of your rage sometimes feel like they represent a millennia of female rage? Think of our ancestors and how females have been abused, murdered, raped, slaughtered, and locked up for millennia.
However, having worked through many historical years of personal trauma and continuously being re triggered after each subsequent feeling of abuse towards me no matter how bad, what struck me is that I must become Kali and use the rumbles of the rage of women of millennia as a source of empowerment for all the wrongs committed in the past to change the future.
Perhaps I’m not ready to change the world, but I can change my individual circumstance or situation which allows me to mature spiritually thus helping change the path for women away from misogyny to respect, love and compassion. I can actively speak up for myself and let go of my ego based fear and instead empower myself with the rumbles of rage from throughout the millennia of my own ancestral lineage.
As much as I am passionate to change my outlook in a force for good there are women who will passionately protect a male abuser because of an unhealthy attachment to him. These Mothers are enablers of abusive behavior by their sons to other women. They are not aware of the consequences of their behavior in failing to set boundaries for him. Compassion is required in all circumstances as we remind ourselves once again that everyone has the potential to awaken. This doesnt’ mean that we suppress our anger and don’t respond, as this blog suggests responding with a mature stance is absolutely necessary to secure our place in the heart of the Divine Mother.
I agree this is all very difficult to practice but if you don’t practice you will fail to awaken yourself, and then you will continue to SUFFER the intense rumbles of rage throughout your life and harbour aggression which will harm your body and mind. With a meditation practice and discipline you can be surprised what messages arise for you to enjoy and learn about the meaning of life along the path.
Kali, the wild dark goddess
With your arms of destruction
and fierce protection.
Fierce face, fierce stance, fierce freedom
Kali comes at a cost.
A cost of not seeing clearly,
of living behind the veil of delusion.
When the veil is lifted then
the sky meets the water,
in an almighty Tsunami
but then it is gone
and I can see only the presence of still water.
The dark side is gone only
the creative forces of Kali
remain, her deep love
her endless love.
The deepest, truest Self.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti. 🙏🙏🙏
