Before you read any further – take a Pause – breathing in slightly deeper and breathing out slightly slower. Do this a few times until you feel your body begin to settle into the chair and your mind start to slow down. You may wish to close your eyes or focus softly on one thing in your surrounding space.
Now notice how you feel inside. The sensations present in your body.
Depending on when you read this Christmas is around the corner or else it’s just over. The New Year is approaching and everyone is weary of the constant covid dilemma. It’s affecting everyone on the planet, some worse than others, some countries worse than others, it is also highlighting a great divide in the world among people.
You don’t need me to tell you any more, you’ve heard it all.
The way to dissolve your worries and fears of the future, is to nurture a greater connection to your deep inner Self. Touching your sweetness, the loving presence dwelling deep within, consciousness. Then you can manage to live with the future by being in the sanctuary of the present moment.
So through a meditation practice you can embody this connection to your deeper state of Being and you can learn to live with your concerns about the future more peacefully. If you don’t have a meditation practice maybe you won’t know what I’m talking about and decide to click out of this blog and carry on with your day. Please before you do so read the story below.
Sometimes nature is so awesome. The other day as I walked in the local, forest park around the large lake the mist had come down so thick that the other side of the lake was completely invisible and the sky and water had merged completely into a silver light. My son and I stood and looked between the trees in wonder at this amazing sight that looked so different to the familiarity that we associated with it. Even he, who is usually absorbed with technology, stopped and stared with awe.
I looked with wonder and curiosity into the silver void. I felt like I was being pulled into it and I smiled as I had a sense of wanting to take a giant leap in, because for me, in that moment, I perceived a visualisation of what it feels like to be in a meditative state. When you embody a complete sense of freedom, like anything is possible, and there’s a sense of wonder that holds you in that void. This is all possible when you give yourself the gift of leaping into the light which is present deep within everyone of us, by embracing a meditation practice.
Here you will find a sense of fortitude that you can overcome any struggle, or any fear. The True Essence of your Beingness is filled with the radiance of the light and the abundance of life. Life in that moment holds a thousand possibilities.
The future is always uncertain with or without covid. No one knows what is ahead. However the world as we know it is changing rapidly and generally people are not good with change.
Now that we are living in the darkest days of the year, this is a time to become intimate with the stillness of the darkness, as we don’t know the future. Though you can prepare for the future by choosing to rest deeply in meditation, creating a sense of wonderment, fortitude and peacefulness that you can take off the meditation cushion with you out into your daily life and the future of each moment as the light grows.
