We evolved from the ocean so the evolution of movement begins in the sea. We were water creatures. We had scaly skin and swam with heads and tails. Then we evolved feet and fins and crawled onto the land. We grew 4 limbs and then stood up and walked on them and then stood up on two limbs exploring out into the world around us with the other two.

I can still swim; slide on my belly using my arms and legs to shove my body forward as I move onto the land; I can can move up higher onto my hands and knees and crawl around; I can then move around faster on 4 extended limbs; and then stand up and walk or run on two legs.
All these patterns of movement are embodied in every cell of my being. My cells hold the memory of this evolution of movement. They are highly intelligent.
As bipeds our ancestors worked the land, they evolved into strong, agile beings, they developed communication skills and then they formed communities benefiting from trading their skills. Our ancestors lead the way. They set the path we have wandered off. Humanity is now experiencing dysevolution.
We are no longer awakened to the vibration of life that inspires love and kindness. We are consumerists who worship and desire material wealth and celebrity.
Many people are experiencing a ‘calling’ to revisit the ocean. Sea swimming has never been so popular since covid a sickness that pervaded the earth and all humanity.
In the ocean I am one with the water, I am embodied and present. I feel my body move with the ease of no gravity. I feel healed as I return to my evolutionary home in the ocean, I feel healed as I return to my embryonic fluid home in the womb, where there was no anxiety of the past or the future. Just a feeling of oneness with the sacred water around me and within me.
Isn’t life curious?
