Fill your bucket with positive vibes by noticing a flower or blade of grass erupting from between paving stones, the clouds in the sky, the smell of a cooked meal, the sunlight moving across the floor, a beautiful tree, a little Robin, a song, sounds of nature……..
Allow yourself to marinade in this experience for 30 seconds and notice how you are feeling.
This releases the feel good hormone oxytocin, which creates a sense of well-being.
By practicing mindfulness i.e filling your bucket with small positive vibes, you can develop an ability to bounce back from adversity and experience a greater sense of well-being.
The more well-being we have, the more resilience we have, and the more resilience we have, the more well-being we have. It has a spiral effect.
If we deliberately cultivate resilience we can grow the skills to turn and face our problems instead of bypassing them.
